German-Indonesian. I moved around for a while before studying at UAL and settling in London; I still go back to Germany or Indonesia sometimes, for the distance and a fresh perspective, amongst other things.

I'm always researching something or picking up a new tool. Creating and researching feel like the same process to me most of the time; one tends to lead into the other.

I watch a lot: comedies, documentaries, mockumentaries, cabarets, thrillers, horrors. Read articles, pick up books. I have a soft spot for off-beat, deadpan, dry, satirical, dark humour and like to think some of that finds its way into how I see things.
